Using a master plugin which will be separate so you can manage the perms, you can add gold to a user and subtract gold. In the database, you will be able to see every player's UUID, username, and gold amount. In order for this plugin to work, though, you'll have to use a database. When you click an item in the shop it'll run a console command which will also be customizable. The shop will be completely customizable, as well as what happens when you click the item. You'll be able to create a literal virtual currency using this method. I'll be posting a video on my YouTube channel on how to use it.
